Nick Hendy Landscape Designer & Construction Director
Nick’s experience spans a wide range of creative disciplines. His natural aptitude for technical construction combined with years of hands on experience in the building industry, enables him to be innovative and to create inspired gardens that are always grounded in realistic and technical possibility.
Nick brings a unique perspective to any given landscaping project, largely due to his diverse background. After training as a technical graphic designer Nick obtained his BA Hons Art degree at The Surrey Institute of Art & Design. He then worked as a camerman and lighting technician on a wide range of film projects from Harry Potter to documentary films and educational projects. In pursuit of his love of the outdoors, Nick chose to spend the next 2 years in the USA completing on site training in all aspects of technical landscaping & construction. This enabled him to return home in 2004 to set up Hendy Curzon Gardens.
Since then Nick has successfully designed and built an extensive range of garden projects and property developments, collaborating with his wife, Adrienne on most of them.
Adrienne Curzon Landscape Designer & Creative Director
Adrienne heads up the creative design and garden styling side of our clients' gardens, continually drawing on her own creative background & skills.
She studied film production & photography in Edinburgh before completing her BA Hons degree in Art Direction at The Surrey Institute of Art & Design. Prior to setting up Hendy Curzon Gardens with Nick, her career has spanned both interior design, set construction and garden design work across a diverse range of projects, from domestic clients to television advertising campaigns.
Adrienne’s horticultural knowledge and experience has accumulated from her upbringing and from years of hands on experience implementing, constructing and sustaining landscaping schemes ranging across UK cities, coastal Britain and rural Cotswolds gardens. These have covered a vast range of briefs, styles and project sizes.
Mat Hillsdon Site Manager
Prior to joining Hendy Curzon Gardens Mat's background & experience was in the landscaping trade industry. His knowledge, combined with his understanding of this industry makes Mat’s approach to individual gardens and projects insightful and innovative. He continually strives and succeeds to bring projects in on time and on budget.
Mat is unwavering in his quickness to adapt to new projects. He is also extremely hardworking, regardless of the task.
He is exemplaray in his meticulous nature and he manages garden builds with patience, adhering to the highest standards of workmanship. Mat has a natural aptitude towards technical construction which has positioned him as an integral part of the Hendy Curzon team.

Hendy Curzon Gardens is everything a landscaping business should be. They listen carefully to the client. They have good aesthetic sense and flair, which matched my desired outcome. They have good ideas and use reasonably priced, common sense solutions. When I let my property out to tenants the neglect set in and I needed to re-think the garden and the whole maintenance angle. Nick and Adrienne came up with an attractive paln utilizing existing viable plants and remodeled the whole garden. Now all the tenants have to do is mow the lawn! I am very pleased with the result and would definitely recommend them.

“Hendy Curzon Gardens have undertaken two major landscaping contracts for us. In both cases we required Nick’s and Adrienne’s design services and the skills of themselves and their team for the actual build. The first, undertaken over six years ago now involved extensive terracing. The once unusable plot was transformed and was distinguished by it’s hardy tropical planting and selection of materials. The result is quite simply unique and stunning.
The second project again involved the creation of level changes but this garden is distinctly different. It works as a kitchen garden, with vegetable and herb plots – both ornamental and practical and feature borders full of long seasonal interest and with an abundance of flowers for cutting. Both projects have called for a considerable amount of design flair and where other companies have fallen short of this in the past, Adrienne and Nick instead bowled us over. Thank you.”
